Background

Menara PERKESO, the headquarters of the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) in Putrajaya, is a central hub for decision-making, policy planning, and stakeholder engagement. To support its high-level meetings and administrative functions, the client required a reliable, scalable, and user-friendly conference system that could meet modern communication standards.

The Challenge

PERKESO needed a conference solution that could:

• Accommodate multiple room configurations, including boardrooms, meeting rooms, and training spaces.
• Ensure high-quality audio for in-person and hybrid meetings.
• Be intuitive enough for users with minimal technical expertise.
• Integrate seamlessly into the existing AV infrastructure.

Given the complexity and variety of room layouts, the solution had to be highly adaptable, while maintaining consistency in user experience and performance.

The Solution

Acoustic & Lighting System Sdn Bhd was selected as the AV solutions provider for this project, leveraging the capabilities of TAIDEN, a global leader in conference and interpretation systems.

A tailored conference system was designed and deployed, featuring:

• TAIDEN Digital Congress Units for clear voice reproduction and efficient communication.
• Chairman and Delegate Units with built-in microphones and touchscreen interfaces for streamlined control.
• Central Control Software to manage multiple rooms and units efficiently from a single interface.
• Hybrid Meeting Compatibility, allowing integration with video conferencing platforms for remote participants.

The system was deployed across multiple rooms, each configured to meet the room’s purpose and capacity.

Level 12 – Bilik Gerakan & Bilik Mesyuarat (80 pax)

The Level 12 Bilik Gerakan and Bilik Mesyarat serves as the primary decision-making hub for PERKESO. Designed for high-level meetings and briefings, this space features a fully integrated TAIDEN digital conferencing and video tracking solution to support seamless discussions, structured floor control, and hybrid meeting capabilities.

• TAIDEN HCS-3900MA/20 – Digital Conference Main Control Unit; manages overall conferencing functions, microphone control, and system integration.
• TAIDEN HCS-8300MES – Extension Server for expanding and stabilizing large-scale conference system performance.
• 2x TAIDEN HCS-3940C – Chairman Units with speech priority, voting functionality, and integrated loudspeakers for clear command presence.
• 58x TAIDEN HCS-3940D – Delegate Units designed for participant speech, voting, and meeting management with robust audio clarity.
• 5x TAIDEN HCS9316HDN – Full HD PTZ cameras for automated camera tracking during active microphone usage.
• 1x TAIDEN TMX-0808 – 8x8 Digital Matrix Switcher for signal routing between video sources and output displays.
• 5x TAIDEN HDSDI2HDMI/30 – SDI-to-HDMI Converters to ensure video compatibility across diverse display devices.

Levels 6–12 – Bilik Mesyuarat (50 pax each)

• TAIDEN HCS-3900MA/20 – Digital Conference Main Control Unit; provides centralized control of all delegate/chairman microphones and system settings.
• 1x TAIDEN HCS-3940C – Chairman Unit offering speech priority, meeting control features, and a built-in speaker for clarity.
• 36x TAIDEN HCS-3940D – Delegate Units for smooth participant interaction with push-to-talk functionality and voting capability.
• 1x TAIDEN TMX-0808 – 8x8 Digital Matrix Switcher enabling flexible signal routing between video input sources and outputs.
• 3x TAIDEN HCS9316HDN – HD PTZ Cameras with auto-tracking for speaker-focused video coverage during discussions.
• 3x TAIDEN HDSDI2HDMI/30 – SDI-to-HDMI Converters to adapt high-definition video signals for modern display systems.

Outcome

With the successful deployment of TAIDEN’s advanced digital conferencing solution, Menara PERKESO is now equipped with a modern and highly efficient AV infrastructure that enhances communication, streamlines meetings, and supports hybrid engagements across all key spaces.

By providing intuitive operation and seamless audio-visual integration, the system empowers PERKESO staff and stakeholders to conduct productive meetings with clarity and confidence.
